Overview:

As a Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of aircraft maintenance layovers. Your responsibilities will include planning, monitoring, and controlling various stages of the layover preparation process, actual layover process, and post-layover activities.

Job description:

  • Prepare and plan aircraft work packages in alignment with the maintenance schedule (MS, MPD, or relevant customer documentation).
  • Generate essential documents for the layover, presenting technical details (e.g., PCB, layover information) to guide production and project teams in accurate work scheduling.
  • Collaborate directly with customer representatives to address issues related to work package preparation.
  • Disseminate work package information to relevant departments for effective tooling and material planning.
  • Analyze, prepare, and communicate milestone plans and target dates to the project team and customer.
  • Build and load required Maintenance Task Cards (MTCs) in TRAX using the customer-provided total work package.
  • Create an initial task schedule via MTC Phase scheduling.
  • Monitor the completion of work packages by tracking MTC/NRTC closures.
  • Ensure the fulfillment of work package maintenance release requirements and certify them.

Qualification:

  • Graduate of any engineering course, preferably Industrial Engineering
  • A strong understanding of aircraft maintenance planning procedures
  • Proficiency in interpreting and utilizing maintenance schedules, MS, MPD, and related customer documentation
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with customer representatives, project teams, and internal departments
  • Attention to detail to guarantee accurate work package planning and documentation
  • Familiarity with TRAX or similar aircraft maintenance management software.
