Responsibilities:
- Ensures accurate tax computation and prompt filing of documents as mandated by Government Authorities on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis as well as during an audit
- Proactively participates in updating the Tax Manual, by reporting business gaps noted in the day to day operations, to ensure that business needs and recommended actions are properly considered in the Manual
- Proactively participates in updating Tax Manual that specify the applicable laws, practices, and procedures for each tax type the Group is responsible for
- Supports the Tax Manager in conducting annual tax training and in the developing tax database for Group’s employees
- Drafts and prepares guides to the Group employees in tax matters pertaining to their business areas and provide solutions to solve the tax issues
- Assists the Tax Manager in the review of related party transaction structure and also transfers pricing transactions within the Group to avoid violation of tax laws
- Contributes in identifying opportunities to legally minimize the tax liability and also to reduce the effective annual tax rate of the Group considering the feasibility and practicality of the implementation
- Keeps abreast of both local and national tax laws and regulations, Group’s policies and procedures to ensure reasonable and value-adding tax practice
- Maintains the highest ethical standards in all internal and external dealings and relationships
Requirements:
- Must be a college graduate with a degree in Finance, major in Accounting or equivalent
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant
- Preferably with three-year experience in preparing tax reconciliation and returns for a company
- Preferably with three-year experience in supporting tax compliance reviews
- Preferably with two-year experience in tax planning
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
