Job Scope

The position is responsible for designing and formulating project plans and strategies for committed projects of the Company with the main objective of guaranteed compliance to the established criteria by the conduct of audits, studies, analyses, simulations while considering customer requirements. Collaborating closely with various teams and stakeholders is a key aspect of this position to ensure successful execution of all committed projects of the Company. The level of competencies required will be vital in designing, testing, and implementing engineering solutions that adhere to safety protocols, relevant codes and regulations as well as meet quality and performance standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Power System Studies and Simulations
    • Conduct of power system studies such as, but not limited to, Impact Studies, Asset Studies, Facilities Studies and Reliability Studies using simulation softwares, relevant engineering disciplines, codes and standards.
    • Design and recommend engineering solutions for the power system that should ensure that all electrical components are adequately designed, rated, and capable of meeting the desired criteria established by the studies conducted and ensure compliance with relevant engineering disciplines, codes and standards


  • Protection Studies
    • Conduct power system fault analysis using simulation softwares. Develop solutions and implement protection that is designed to protect the system and its components, and capable of meeting the desired criteria set out by conduct of the analyses and simulations.
    • Calculate protection settings and design logics that protects the power system and its components. Recalculates protection settings and update logics capable of meeting the desired criteria set out by conduct of the analyses, simulations and testing.
    • Conduct protection coordination simulation and analysis. Calculate and design proper protection coordination settings capable of meeting the desired criteria established by simulation. Recommend, update and perform adjustment on the protection settings to ensure proper system protection coordination, if necessary.
    • Conducts testing on protective relays, devices and equipment for settings and functionality accuracy verification using the calculated protection settings, designed logics, and test equipment.


  • Network Enhancement
    • Identify and resolve power quality issues, develop and recommend engineering solutions to ensure compliance of power systems to the desired criteria established by the audit, investigation, analysis and simulations while adhering to relevant engineering disciplines, codes, standards, and regulations.
    • Identify, design and implement SCADA, Automation and Control, and Advanced Utility Solutions to systems or facilities capable of meeting the desired level of security and reliability required by the customer.
    • Conduct of Energy Audit, identify and develop energy management solutions and strategies aimed at improving efficiency of the existing system or facility capable of meeting the specifications established by the audit, comprehensive analysis and simulations while ensuring compliance to relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

    Qualifications
    • Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer; Open to with and without work experience
    • Preventive maintenance and electrical equipment experience, preferred
