For this role, our client is looking for a seasoned IT Systems Analyst who will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, working closely with both internal users and external software development teams. You will oversee the full lifecycle of software projects, from gathering and documenting requirements to ensuring successful project delivery through tools like Azure DevOps and Jira. Additionally, you will support the maintenance and functionality of key business systems, including POS system across multiple stores and managing a variety of third-party software solutions. This is a full-time position during Eastern Standard Time.

The following Job-related experience is required for potential candidates for this role:

  • Must have more than a year of experience as an IT Systems Analyst or similar role.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jira, SQL, POS systems.
  • Must apply logic and reasoning to evaluate alternatives and make informed decisions.
  • Must have proven experience managing multiple projects, balancing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Must be available for extra hours as necessary, particularly during project deadlines or critical system updates.
  • Must be comfortable participating in on-call schedule for supporting users and systems after office hours.
  • Must be independent, proactive, and able to drive initiatives with little supervision.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between external development teams, software vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
  • Manage project timelines, user stories, and requirements using Azure DevOps and Jira.
  • Coordinate with vendors for system implementations and upgrades (POS, CRM, ERP) to ensure minimal business disruption.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with stakeholders and developers to ensure project goals and deliverables are on track.
  • Facilitate project management meetings and sprint planning for both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Gather and translate user requirements into technical solutions, collaborating with development teams to improve business systems.
  • Create system requirement documents and test cases, and perform QA testing to ensure functionality and data integrity.
  • Document and maintain workflows using BPM notation for process improvements.
  • Act as a backup for POS system management, handling configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and software updates across retail locations.
  • Support marketing requests for POS configurations on sale days and promos, and address any operational issues in stores.
  • Manage third-party software solutions, ensuring they are up-to-date, secure, and integrated with business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize third-party software usage for better business operations.
  • Provide help desk support, troubleshoot software issues, and assist with system updates and patch management.
  • Perform general IT tasks to support overall department functionality and business operations.

Successful candidates for this role will be rewarded with the following benefits and compensation:

  • A total of five paid vacation days per year (additional days can be taken unpaid).
  • A 5% raise per year guaranteed (additional raises or bonuses may be given for outstanding performance).
  • A paid 15-minute break for every 4 hours of work.
  • Fully-paid healthcare benefits after 2 months of full-time work.
  • Compensation range: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour.

* Vacation days increase by 1 vacation day per year. I.e. after one year of employment, the total paid vacation days on year 2 would be six, on year 3 seven, etc.
