Under the supervision of the Chief Accountant, the Cost Control Supervisor is responsible for the assisting with the accounting of food and beverage costs and other expenses. The position of Cost Control Supervisor is critical as it relates to the resort's profit goal. Therefore, the Cost Control Supervisor should have knowledge of accounting systems, F & B, and food production, as well as strong leadership capabilities. The Cost Control Supervisor supervises the Purchasing Assistant, Storekeeper, Receiving Clerk, and reports to the Financial Controller. He/she also works with the
Accounts Payable Department and the Income Auditor.
Under the supervision of the Chief Accountant, the Cost Control Supervisor is responsible for the assisting with the accounting of food and beverage costs and other expenses. The position of Cost Control Supervisor is critical as it relates to the resort's profit goal. Therefore, the Cost Control Supervisor should have knowledge of accounting systems, F & B, and food production, as well as strong leadership capabilities. - Inspect the receiving area periodically to verify that receiving procedures are being followed.
- Inspect all store rooms at least once daily and personally check the items contained in the store rooms against bin cards, meat tags, etc., to ensure that store-room procedures are being observed
- Prepare the daily Food & Beverage sales and cost (daily flash cost) reports.
- Ensure that staffs are accurately performing assigned work and that items for expense charges are correctly posted.
- Work with the Executive Chef to ensure that items listed on the menus are ordered and that supplies received are of the highest quality
- Work with F&B Cashier Supervisor to ensure that all food/beverage taken out of kitchen/bars are supported by a captain's order and that guest checks have correct prices
- Conduct market surveys twice a month and report the results to the Chief Accountant
- Complete other duties that are assigned by the Chief Accountant and/or by the Financial Controller
- Performs any other duties and tasks that may be assigned by immediate superiors from time to time.
- Bachelors Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Commerce or equivalent
- Atleast 2 years of working experience in the hotel industry
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
- Good communication skills
- Amenable to work in San Mateo, Rizal
- Can start immediately
