San Miguel Merchandising is the dedicated merchandising arm of San Miguel Corporation. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary established in March 2019 to provide merchandising services to the different business units of the San Miguel Group. San Miguel Merchandising is geared to support the diverse business units of SMC through providing expert merchandising services – not just ensuring that products are available anytime, anywhere but expanding the role of merchandisers to be brand ambassadors of the products they carry. To date, the company employs around 8,000 merchandisers deployed in thousands of major supermarket chains, modern trade, and general trade accounts nationwide.
Since 2019, San Miguel Merchandising has handled the merchandising requirements of two businesses under San Miguel Foods, namely Protein and Animal Nutrition Business (Magnolia Chicken Station, Monterey Meats Station, and Nutrichunks) and Prepared and Packaged Foods (Refrigerated meats and Dry goods). Beginning September 2022, San Miguel Merchandising is already covering the merchandising operations of Ginebra San Miguel Inc. for the Visayas region. Preparations are also underway to take over the merchandising operations of the balance Beverage businesses of San Miguel Corporation—San Miguel Brewery, SMYPC Wine Brothers, and other areas for Ginebra San Miguel Inc.
Role Description
This is a temporary on-site role for a Human Resources Assistant at SMC Integrated Merchandising Services Inc. in Cavite. The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for maintaining records, providing compensation and benefits, and providing support in training programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support in timekeeping and payroll-related concerns with the payroll team.
- Provides assistance to supervisors/managers in attending to concerns pertaining to employee absenteeism and tardiness.
- Handles the processing of company-initiated benefits and ensures that all requirements are met in accordance with company guidelines.
- Validation of DTR.
- Monitor and coordinate the processing of government-mandated benefits such as SSS sickness benefits, ECC benefits claims (for work-connected injury), SSS maternity benefits, insurance claims, etc. with the Compensation and Benefits Team.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, or Human Resource Management
- With at least 1 year of work experience in compensation and benefits
- Has excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
- Has expertise in administrative work, with a can-do attitude
- Possesses good analytical and decision-making skills
- Highly organize
- Knows how to multitask and demonstrates attention to detail and outstanding organizational skill
- Has an excellent customer service and relationship management skills
