Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for expanding our market presence in the Philippines, identifying and securing new sales opportunities, and managing key accounts within the solar energy sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales and business development, a deep understanding of the renewable energy market, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Expansion:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to increase market share in the solar tracker industry.
- Identify new market segments and opportunities for growth.
- Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
New Sales:
- Generate new business by prospecting potential clients.
- Present and demonstrate solar tracker solutions to potential customers.
- Negotiate and close sales deals with new clients.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Key Account Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Work closely with the sales team to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services.
- Provide regular account updates and feedback to the management team.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, including pipeline updates, sales forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales and business development, with a proven track record in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of solar tracker technology and the renewable energy market.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and exceed expectations.
- Experience in managing and coaching a sales team.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data.
- Fluent in English and Filipino, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the solar industry, specifically with solar trackers.
- A network of contacts within the renewable energy sector.
- Proficiency in Spanish or other local languages would be an advantage.
