What Are We Looking For

MultiplyMii is in search of an Accountant who will be working with our client based in Australia. Our client is a leading consultancy for startups and scaling businesses. Whether it’s legal, accounting, tax, or startup education, you’ll help your clients improve their chances of success by consolidating these functions under one roof, providing cross-functional support to create the critical foundations required for any thriving startup, scale-up, or Venture Capital firm looking to do things a little differently.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality client delivery work, whilst hitting quarterly revenue targets.

Beyond your experience, we are also looking for someone who is detail-oriented and possesses excellent English language communication skills in both written and verbal.

This role is 100% work from home.

In This Role, You Will

With oversight and support from Coach and VP of Accounting provide high-quality end-to-end accounting support to clients, tailored to VCs and Fund managers clientele. This includes:

Xero file setups, reviews, alignments with best practices and accounting standards
End-to-end bookkeeping (reconciliation, accounts payable, payroll, and compliance (GST, PayG, FBT, Income Taxes, and other statutory reporting).
Assistance with preparing financial statements, management reporting, and cash flow projections or forecasts.
Work with our internal tax team to deliver tax compliance outcomes to our clients.
Hit individual quarterly revenue targets and output points as set out by the Head of the team.
Hit individual quarterly business development targets as set out by the Head of the team.
Find learning opportunities to continue to develop client management skills and technical expertise.

About You

Core qualifications:

Xero Expertise: Deep understanding of Xero accounting software and its best practices.
Bookkeeping Proficiency: Strong foundation in bookkeeping principles, including reconciliation, accounts payable, payroll, and compliance.
Financial Reporting: Ability to prepare financial statements, management reports, and cash flow projections.
Tax Knowledge: Familiarity with Australian tax laws and regulations (GST, PayG, FBT, Income Taxes).
Client Focus: A commitment to providing exceptional client service and tailoring solutions to their specific needs.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and completeness in accounting tasks.
Tech Forward: As a tech-forward practice, we prioritize efficiency through advanced technology. Experience with tools such as Asana, Slack, Google Drive, Excel, and Syft/Fathom is a significant advantage.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve accounting issues effectively.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues. collaborate effectively with the team and contribute to a positive work environment.

Advantageous

Accreditation with CA/CPA in your country
Prior experience working with fund managers in Australia
