Keeping the Books in Shipshape for a Smooth Financial Voyage
- Client Account Management: Handle daily accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements for clients.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports (balance sheets, income statements) and ensure timely delivery to clients.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process client invoices, manage payments, and maintain accurate records.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies for client accounts.
- Month-End Close: Assist with month-end and year-end closing for client accounts, including journal entries and adjustments.
- Compliance: Ensure client accounts comply with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding financial inquiries, reports, and transactions.
- Documentation: Create and continuously update procedure desk manuals (stored in Asana) to ensure work is repeatable and streamlined.
- Sharp as a Tack and Ready to Tackle Complex Financial Challenges
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally with client-facing responsibilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- A forward-thinking approach in all client work—consider how to improve processes for future engagements.
