Formative Search has partnered with a global energy player that provides solutions to enhance operations and is expanding its team. They are looking for a Business Development Manager in Manila, Philippines.

In this role, you will develop and implement marketing and commercial strategies for solar energy solutions targeted at commercial and industrial clients in the Philippines. You will also lead discussions on technical, financial, and legal aspects to secure profitable energy supply contracts and contribute to their growth in the sustainable energy market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust marketing and commercial strategies for the Solar C&I sector in the Philippines, including creating comprehensive business plans to secure internal approvals for project execution.
  • Represent the company on Solar C&I projects, from small-scale to large-scale developments across various business models.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, contractors, and equipment suppliers to promote our solar C&I solutions.
  • Identify and prospect potential customers for solar energy solutions, including energy supply and renewable energy certificates.
  • Organize and manage marketing promotions, conferences, and presentations to showcase the company's Solar C&I capabilities.
  • Collaborate with regional energy development teams to create and present comprehensive solar energy supply proposals.
  • Negotiate and finalize renewable solar energy supply contracts, ensuring compliance with technical capabilities, profitability, and health & safety standards.
  • Work with project management and operations teams to develop accurate cost structures for target projects.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Energy, or related fields.
  • 6 to 8 years of relevant industry experience.
  • At least 3 years in a Business Development or Techno-commercial role, preferably within the Solar C&I sector.
  • Proven track record in commercial development within the Solar C&I segment, including engineering services, solar equipment manufacturing, or service provision.
  • Proficient in software tools for presentations and project computations (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel).
  • A sales-oriented mindset with a strong network of potential clients.
