Business Control Manager

(based in Laos)

Purpose of the Position:

  • Be a part of Strategic Plan, budgeting / forecasting process and completion together with the all members of the Finance function
  • Be a business partner and decision support to Sales & Marketing Management by providing financial reports, analysis and challenge with the objective to achieve the Commercial strategy, financial and non-financial targets.

Key Accountabilities:

Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Support the preparation of the 3-year Strategic Action plan, Annual Plan and Latest Estimates with a focus on the commercial function.
  • Lead Budgeting/ Forecasting cycle with the Commercial team and communicate requirement to Finance team

Financial Reporting

  • Secure the delivery of OTIF and high quality reporting to the MT and Region/Group (Monthly KPI, BPR, other relevant reports)
  • Reporting of financial and non-financial related to Commercial function in CIL (Commercial Information Logistic) where relevant

Commercial Business Management

  • Develop and monitor Commercial Dashboard together with Commercial Manager
  • Analyze, review ,interpret and present results to the Commercial Team
  • Ensure Commercial dataset accuracy and integrity
  • Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and provide insights on Commercial business issues as required

Business Partnering and Decision Support

  • Prepare Competitor analysis
  • Support Commercial decision making process by: Preparing pricing, cost, margin analysis; Preparing brand, SKU, customer and channel profitability analysis; Developing business cases, providing scenario modelling
  • Commercial fund application: Commercial cost management; Maximize Return On Investment on Marketing Spend (ATL/BTL); Optimize Commercial fixed expenses; Business opportunities (support new product development, preparation of deal structuring, etc...)

Control, Compliance and Risk Management

  • Support the development of Support functions policies and business processes
  • Champion continuous improvement
  • Continuously assess OpCo/ Support functions risks & opportunities; flag risks to MT and propose mitigating actions
  • Control Self-Assessment (CSA) Responsible for Heirules: Management Control, Transfer Pricing, Fund Application and Acquisitions and Divestments
  • CSA Supporting role in Heirules: Human Resources, Organizational Structure, Media Communication, Crisis Preparedness and Management, Heineken Visual Identity, Credit Management & Physical Security

Assist to General Manager

  • Board Meeting Presentation, Board Meeting Minutes, Board Meeting Agenda and Board Meeting Notice.
  • Coordinate with Board of Director with any matters requirement.
  • Board Resolution Update (Coordinate with Group Legal)

Qualification & Experience:

Education: At least Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or higher

Experience:

  • At least 7 years exp. in FP&A/Commercial Controller ideally from a reputable FMCG/CPG company
  • Proficient in ERP and Microsoft applications
  • Abreast with general accepted accounting standards, policies and practices, in particular IAS / IFRS
  • Strong in people management and leadership skills
  • Effective communicator and can interact with all levels ; Ability to express and explain problems and issues
  • Analytical minded with good planning, organizing and decision ability
  • Willing learner, self-driven and pro-active
  • Able to work independently as well as within team to meet organization’s goals and objectives
  • Strongly adaptable to changes in policies and procedures
