The Data Admin Officer will manage and oversee our data systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our data, ensuring its security, and supporting data analysis and reporting efforts.
Responsibilities"
1. Data Integration and Transformation: Facilitating the integration of data from multiple sources and ensuring the consistent transformation of data to meet the organization's requirements.
2. Data Management: Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards for data management within an organization. This includes data storage, backup, security, and retention.
3. Data Governance: Establishing and maintaining a data governance framework to ensure the quality, integrity, and consistency of data across the organization. This involves defining data ownership, stewardship, and accountability.
4. Data Dictionary Maintenance: Creating and maintaining a centralized repository of metadata, including data definitions, data relationships, and data usage information.
5. Data Access and Security: Controlling and monitoring access to data resources, ensuring appropriate data security measures are in place, and responding to security incidents.
6. Data Quality Assurance: Implementing processes and mechanisms to monitor and improve the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data throughout its lifecycle.
7. Reporting and Analytics: Providing support for the development and deployment of reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to enable data-driven decision-making.
8. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensuring that the organization's data management practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
9. Training and Education: Providing training and support to end-users on data management best practices, data access and usage, and data-related tools and technologies.
10. Collaboration and Project Management: Coordinating with various stakeholders, such as IT, business units, and data owners, to manage data-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in data administration, data entry, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle, Microsoft Access).
- Experience with data reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Certification in data management or related fields is a plus.
