The IT Project Manager takes full responsibility for the overall project delivery and maintenance of all projects assigned to ensure that functional and operational requirements are met. He/She manages projects in the portfolio if it is within the specifications, schedule, and budget.

Main Accountabilities:

• IT Project Manager is assigned 2-3 projects/ initiatives that are aligned to a single business segment’s strategy and objectives

Stakeholder Management

• To represent the Information Systems Group (ISG) within the business groups by maintaining a high degree of visibility.

• Attend meetings and appropriate management forums, providing a central point of information for all related technology activities.

• Promote collaboration between all banking divisions impacted by the project.

Project Management

• Assume full responsibility for the end to end phases of the project: Initiation, Design, Build, Test, Deploy, and Stabilization.

• Develop and maintain project schedule which includes the estimated cost as well as the forecasted schedule and cascade to all stakeholders

• Project level risks and issue management

• Manages scope changes to avoid scope creep

• Prepare management reports to be presented to senior management

• Manage budget, expenses, and manpower costs from estimating to project closure

• Communicate project objectives to the team and establish clearly the roles and responsibilities of each member

• Define the escalation process within ISG, business, and the vendor

• Ensure compliance to all bank policies

• Ensure compliance to project management standards and methodologies

• Measure project performance and conduct root cause analysis to address common/recurring/high impact issues, metrics not met, and defects identified.

• Ensure that all the necessary trainings, project documents, manuals, and guidelines are properly transitioned to the application support group during the stabilization period before project closure.

• Participates in process improvement activities of the bank

Vendor Management

• Facilitates sourcing of solutions and service providers to address business requirements.

• Negotiates with solution and service providers for the finalization of product and services contracts and agreements that are aligned with the bank’s policies and standards.

• Manages the relationship with the solution and services providers.

Qualifications:

Knowledge (Minimum Training/Certification Courses/Requirements)

o Advanced analysis and design

o Programming

o Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Experience (Minimum/Preferred Actual Experience/Work Experience)

o At least 5 years of experience in project management and delivery

o At least 8 years of experience in the IT industry

o At least 2 years of experience in a financial services institution.
