About the Team:

Credit & Portfolio Management department is responsible for defining the underwriting strategy for originating credit for different products. It ensures that the credit portfolio is profitable while adjusting for risk. The risk undertaken is commensurate the business strategy of the bank. The department continuously monitors risk to capture changes in risk profile of the portfolio and undertake necessary actions.

What you will do:

  • Together with the Head of Credit & Portfolio Management, collaborates with internal partners to build a robust portfolio management framework and credit & fraud risk management infrastructure for the Digital Bank
  • Defines the credit & portfolio management strategy, primarily focused on Consumer products (i.e Credit, BNPL) / Merchant lending / SME lending portfolios.
  • Establishes credit risk appetite and thresholds for the product portfolios.
  • Develops a comprehensive process and build credit portfolio monitoring and control systems for assessing, identifying and reducing credit risk while optimizing portfolio returns
  • Together with team reports, conducts real time industry research to identify and analyze emerging trends
  • Reviews and approves relevant policies related to various regulations and emerging trends.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Data Science or related programs; MBA or Post graduate in a similar field is a plus
  • At least 8+ years experience in credit, exposure to merchant lending is a plus
  • Excellent quantitative skills with background in credit scoring, credit strategy and overall credit cycle.
  • Strong background in Credit Loss Forecasting
  • Conversant with scoring & impairment forecasting models.
  • Proficient in using statistical programming languages such as SQL and Python
  • Experience in using traditional and alternate data to drive credit strategies
  • Someone who can see the big picture but keen on details
