Your Career's Property Listing: Daily Duties That Drive Your Success

Trust Accounting:

  • Manage trust accounts in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Record, track, and reconcile transactions related to trust accounts, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Prepare trust account statements and reports for clients and internal review.

Rental Accruals Accounting:

  • Calculate and process rental accruals for commercial properties.
  • Monitor rental income and ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in preparing monthly rental reports and statements for property owners and managers.

Transaction Coordination:

  • Support the commercial real estate team in managing transaction timelines, including contract deadlines, inspections, and closing processes.
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth completion of real estate transactions.
  • Assist in preparing purchase agreements, lease contracts, and other legal documents.

Microsoft Excel Management:

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Create and format spreadsheets, apply formulas, and use functions to manage and analyze data.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, property performance metrics, and other analytical documents as needed.

Data Entry and Financial Accounting:

  • Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expenses related to commercial properties.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and property income/expense tracking.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure the integrity of financial data in accounting systems.

Property Management:

  • Assist in managing property-related tasks, including maintenance requests, tenant communications, and lease renewals.
  • Maintain property records, including lease agreements, tenant contact information, and property maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with vendors for property repairs and maintenance services.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential properties, trends, and opportunities in the commercial real estate market.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on market data, property performance, and competitive analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, zoning laws, and real estate regulations.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Assist in maintaining strong relationships with clients by providing timely and accurate information.
  • Handle client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Support the team in client presentations and meetings.

The Building Materials for Success: Skills and Expertise Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in commercial real estate support, trust accounting, rental accruals accounting, or financial accounting.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formatting, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
