About the Role - We are seeking an experienced and results-driven R&D Manager to lead our Research and Development Team. This role will be essential in driving product innovation, improving product quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and enhancing production efficiency. The R&D Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams including production, QA, Marketing, Supply Chain and Sales to deliver innovative and high quality meat products that meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities -

  • Product Development. Take the lead in new product development initiatives from ideation to commercialization, focusing on product quality, consumer trends, and market demands.
  • Innovation and Improvement. Identify opportunities for product and process innovation to improve meat quality, taste, and consistency ensuring competitiveness in the market.
  • Process and Ingredients Optimization. Explore and implement new ingredients, techniques, and processing methods to optimize product flavor, texture, shelf-life, and nutritional value.
  • Quality Assurance. Collaborate with QA team to ensure initiatives comply with food safety, regulatory standards, and company quality standards.
  • Market Research. Collaborate with Marketing when research is conducted on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings to guide product development and marketing strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work closely with production, supply chain, marketing, sales team to support smooth transitions from development to large-scale production and launch.
  • Project Management. Oversee and manage multiple R&D projects, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Qualifications - Bachelors Degree in Food Science or a related field; minimum 5 years of experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the food or meat industry; strong knowledge of meat products and processing, food safety standards, regulatory compliance and quality assurance; excellent leadership, problem solving and decision making skills; ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously; passionate about food innovation and committed to delivering high quality products.
