Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willing to work fully in office at BGC, Taguig.
Core responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Monitor and report on financial performance against budget.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee and manage the general ledger, including reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations, including GST, PAYG, and income tax. Prepare and lodge tax returns and manage tax audits.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Supervise the accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Audit and Internal Controls: Coordinate and manage external audits. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting and planning. Ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
- Financial Analysis: Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support business decisions. Identify and analyze trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior accounting staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including management, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
