We are on the lookout for a Cinema Operations Associate Manager to join our Cinemas team at Ayala Malls Vermosa, Imus, Cavite.

Purpose and Scope:

  1. Supervises the daily operations and administration of all Cinema Operations related functions in his/her specific mall assignment.
  2. Ensures that all Cinema Operations initiatives and processes are effective, efficient and aligned with the established policies, targets, regulatory requirements and overall business objectives of Ayala Malls Group.
  3. Ensures that all Cinema Operations personnel comply with the policies, procedures, rules and regulations of Ayala Malls Group all the time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Management and Direction

  • Supports the Cinema Operations Executives in the formulation, planning, monitoring and evaluation of tactical objectives, goals, strategies, measures and initiatives of his or her specific mall assignment.
  • Handles the management, communication and alignment of strategic direction and objectives of his or her specific mall assignment.
  • Provides data and inputs for the Annual Budget Planning and Forecasting of his or her specific mall assignment.

2. Application of Skills and Capabilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day Cinema Operations and other related functions and processes in his or her specific mall assignment.

  4. Cinema Ads Monitoring
  5. Cinema Pass allocation and distribution
  6. Cinema Food & Beverage Operations
  • Ensures the smooth and seamless daily Cinema Operations of his or her specific mall assignment such as but not limited to timeliness of move release/screening; updated movie permits; equipment is functional and in good condition; proper and updated display of movie ads and schedules.
  • Handles sourcing, evaluation and monitoring of clients for movie advertisements and promos.
  • Monitors cleanliness and sanitation of cinemas such as regular pest control and cleaning.
  • Handles and evaluates all customer complaints related to movie screening, technical concerns, and cleanliness/sanitation as well as customer service on a daily basis.
  • Handles snack bar operations such as monitoring of inventory freshness, manpower availability, cleanliness, sanitation and functionality of equipment.
  • Supports in the evaluation and analysis of cinema operations statistics, trends and reports to identify causes of problems and develops sound recommendations for improvement of policies and processes.
  • Ensures that effective internal controls are in place and ensures compliance with applicable local and statutory regulatory laws and rules of his or her specific mall assignment.
  • Monitors and analyzes monthly cinema operating results against planned budget of his or her specific mall assignment.
  • Prepares cinema operations related reports of his or her specific mall assignment.
  • Conducts daily compliance inspections of cinemas in his or her specific mall assignment.
  • Ensures that daily Cinema Coordination Meetings are conducted all the time.
  • Ensures that all regulatory and mandatory permits, licenses and registrations are updated and filed without penalties.
  • Supports and monitors all cinema finance related functions and processes such as but not limited to payables, collection and cash management in alignment with Finance Department.
  • Supports, coordinates and monitors all cinema marketing related functions and processes such as but not limited to digital marketing, block screening/reservations, rentals and events in alignment with Marketing Department.

3. Supervision

  • Performs coaching, mentoring and development of subordinates (Specialist – Cinema Operations, Senior Associate – Cinema Operations).
  • Oversees and ensures that all new hires of his/her department undergo on-boarding programs and orientations.
  • Provides and supports career development planning and opportunities of his/her subordinates.
  • Conducts meaningful and timely performance management and development process for his/her subordinates that will encourage employee contribution and collaboration including goal setting, feedback and performance development planning.
  • Provides effective and timely performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards and disciplinary action.
  • Imparts his/her inputs and other requirements needed in the department.
  • Trains, develops and motivates his/her staff to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and high performance in the Company.
  • Delegates the responsibility, authority or data gathering/processing to the most appropriate or qualified member of the team.

4. Building Integrity & Credibility/ Positive Image Enhancement

  • Serves as a link between Cinema Operations Executives, potential business partners and government representatives by handling clarifications, questions, interpreting policies and procedures to help resolve operations-related problems and issues.

5. Performs other management mandated functions.
