Position: Accountant

Location: One San Miguel Building, Pasig City

What You’ll Do:

• Management of payments to creditors, including effectively handling disputes and/or credits and ensuring that payments are made as per the cash flow forecast and in line with company policy.
• Use MYOB for Bookkeeping purposes
• Processing of the company payroll for Manila-based staff, ensuring that it is accurate and on time and that it reflects any leave entitlements, and commissions due to sales staff and staff, expenses (pending appropriate approvals).
• Processing of EOY payroll reconciliation, refund calculations, and 13-month pay
• Management of petty cash, ensuring that it is only used in line with company policy
• Management of statutory/tax requirements, liaising as necessary with the external accountant and ensuring that calculations are accurate and payments are timely
• Preparation and delivery of reconciled monthly financial reports and associated forecasts.
• Assist the Financial Controller with other accounting responsibilities as required, such as bank reconciliation, invoice reviews, and invoice recording.
• Assist the procurement team if required in raising POs with suppliers and arranging delivery collections.
• Assist the HR team when required, providing financial reports and data required by HR.
• Handling of mail and banking; ensuring that the mail is collected daily, that any cheques are processed and banked that day and that all other mail is distributed to the appropriate parties.
• Assist with sending documents to relevant agencies, whether personally or through an office messenger or third party.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a company accountant capacity.
• Previous experience in the development and preparation of monthly financial reports and forecasts
• Medium-Advanced knowledge and experience in the use of MYOB and MS Office products.
• CPA qualified
