Megawide is currently seeking of an innovator and result driven Contracts Manager who shall consistently apply a rigorous and controlled approach to Contract Management, with the purpose to protect Company's interests and entitlements.
Job Responsibilities:
1.Responsible for providing adequate contracts support to the projects.
- Identifies risk areas in every contract and communicates risks determined in order to address and mitigate them.
- Provides contracts support to operations team in terms of responding to issues.
- Drafts contractual correspondence.
- Takes the lead in claims and variation submission.
- Takes the lead in commercial meetings with stakeholders.
- Ensures claim schedule and change schedule are maintained and up to date.
- Manages commercial and contracts staff on site.
2.Responsible for reviewing tender documentation, providing advice on unacceptable terms and proposing suitable amendments.
- Reviews all the tender documentation provided.
- Prepares a written report identifying areas of risk in the tender contract and provides recommendations for amendments.
- Reviews Insurance and Guarantee requirements and provides advice regarding acceptance.
- Identifies areas of opportunity in the tender contract.
3.Responsible for reviewing contract documents to ensure acceptability and alignment with tender.
- Reviews contract documents and identify unacceptable items, which are not aligned with what was accepted at tender.
- Drafts correspondence for unacceptable items found, to explain alignment with what was accepted during tender.
- Collates final contract documents necessary to enable contract execution
- Involved with the contracts negotiations.
- Prepares a written report identifying areas of risk in the contract and provides recommendations for amendments.
- Reviews Insurance and Guarantee requirements and provides advice regarding acceptance.
- Identifies areas of opportunity in the agreed contract.
4.Responsible for the continual improvement of staff that are interfacing with.
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Civil Engineering preferably licensed and/or any Engineering related course
- At least of 10 years relevant experience in contracts and claims management
- At least 5 years experience in Managerial or Management role
- Depth knowledge in pre-award processes, contracts package formation and FIDIC
- Has knowledge and experience in development and negotiation of contract terms
- Strong understanding of contract principles and legal conditions
- Experience in change orders, claims evaluation and negotiations
