Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish guidelines, create plans of action, and assume full profit and loss accountability for the Manila operation in order to accomplish organizational goals.
  • Oversee the entire Manila operation, making sure that all legal and mandatory requirements are met. Evaluate procedures and come up with new ideas for ongoing development.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with government agencies and embassies to facilitate business operations. Attend meetings, trainings, seminars, and conferences to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Review the performance of each operational unit and provide guidance for improvement. Evaluate performance and productivity across all departments.
  • Conduct market research and analyze opportunities for business growth.
  • Recommend enhancements to worker productivity and engagement. Improve the skills and abilities of lower level managers and employees by providing them with training.
  • Establish and oversee budgets to maximize financial performance and resource allocation. Examine financial and accounting information to help you make wise business decisions.
  • To convey performance and strategic initiatives to stakeholders, create reports and give presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous working experience as a General Manager, preferably in the maritime industry or related field.
  • Thorough knowledge of different business functions, including operations, finance, human resources, and marketing.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating diverse teams to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Ability to multitask and think critically, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
