Job Description
The Agile Coach is responsible for helping teams perform by instilling an agile mindset and methodology through coaching individuals and championing continuous improvement. The Agile Coach develops a deep understanding of the organization and team processes and adds value with a broader perspective across multiple teams and business units. One Agile Coach guides 3-5 Agile teams (coach-to-team ratio depending on team maturity)
Responsibilities
- Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile practices and methodologies
- Coach team members; facilitate transparent, adaptive, and high-performing team culture
- Remove impediments such as cultural barriers or logistic challenges
- Foster close cooperation among all team members, encourage cross-training and support each other
- Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside the team
- Implement Agile processes, principles, and practices across all levels of the team and organization
- Foster self-organization and growth within the team
- Facilitate squad’s planning and retrospective ceremonies
Skillset
Domain Expertise
- 3 years of experience in agile development, with specific Scrum Master or similar experience preferred
- 1-2 years of experience as an Agile Coach (Junior Manager level)
- Knowledgeable about various Agile methodologies and experienced in coaching Scrum and Kanban teams
- Past experience on a development team is a plus

- Strong communication skills to teach and convey messages in a professional form
- Proven skills in coaching team members in the areas of development and agile methodologies
- Can-do attitude, outcome-driven, and openness to learn
- Strong mediator with the ability to resolve conflicts within the team before they become an issue
- Ability to promote innovative thinking and self-improvement within the team
Agile Experience
- Understanding of effective coaching, mentoring, and adult learning methodologies
- Experience with organizational change management
