Overview:
Find My Place is a rapidly growing student housing platform built on WordPress, but this is no ordinary WordPress site. We’re looking for a highly skilled developer to join our team. This role goes far beyond standard WordPress setup; we need someone who can tackle complex customizations and integrations, both on the front-end and back-end, with confidence and expertise.
Why Join Us?
As a high-growth company, we have a constant flow of development projects, and we’re looking for a senior developer who can commit to at least 20 hours per week, with the potential to go full-time depending on your efficiency. If you’re experienced, efficient, and eager to make an impact, you’ll find room to grow in responsibility, pay, and influence over our development strategy.
Requirements:
• Speak and write in fluent English
• At least 2-5 years experience in WordPress development
• Available for 20-40 hours/week
• Familiarity using Slack for communication
Skills We’re Looking For:
• Advanced WordPress Development: Beyond drag-and-drop – we’re looking for customization, plugin development, and complex integrations.
• ACF Pro, Elementor, Firebase, WPForms, and MemberPress experience required.
• Automation: Familiarity with tools like Make (formerly Integromat) is a plus but not required.
• Task Management: Comfortable working in a task-based system where each project has agreed-upon hours.
• Performance Optimization: Skilled in maintaining and improving site speed and performance.
Expectations:
• Availability: Work within the Philippine time zone, with regular task updates and clear communication.
• Growth Potential: As we grow, you’ll have opportunities to take on increased responsibilities, from leading projects to shaping our development strategy.
• Consistent Work: Though we work on a task-based system, you will have a steady stream of projects, with no risk of downtime for an efficient developer.
Hours: 20-40/week, depending on your efficiency to complete tasks.
Rate: For the first two months, we’ll start with an hourly rate of $13/hour USD ($2,080 USD Monthly) while we assess fit and quality through a series of test tasks. If all goes well, you’ll move up to $15/hour ($2,400 USD Monthly).
HOW TO RESPOND:
• Reply to this job posting with a link to your resume and examples of development work you have done.
• Include the word “orange” in your response. Why? This lets us see who is actually paying attention.
