Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Risk Management Assistant is assigned to the Office of the Head (RMOD) within the Office of Risk Management. You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
You will report to designated international staff and/or senior National Staff.
Your Role
As a Risk Management Assistant, you will provide operational support to assigned international staff; perform coordination and administrative tasks including coordination for knowledge sharing activities, records management, and other clerical functions.

ADB will be rolling-out a new job grading structure on 1 January 2025, which may result in a change of the position grade and title with no change in the terms of reference. By proceeding with your application, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of such changes resulting from the new job grading structure.
This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew for an initial period of three (3) years following Section 3.1 (b) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 ("Recruitment and Appointment'). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may be renewed for a period of up to three years, or not renewed. There is no limit on the number of renewals. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.

Your Role
As a Risk Management Assistant, you will provide operational support to assigned international staff; perform coordination and administrative tasks including coordination for knowledge sharing activities, records management, and other clerical functions.
You Will
- Serve as the appointed Secretariat for the Model Risk Management Committee, facilitating committee meetings, and other logistical support.
- Assist in gathering data, preparing regular and ad hoc reports, briefing notes. Prepare presentations and other documents, as required.
- Assist in the preparation of the team's annual/mid-year budget estimates; support on Work program and budget framework.
- Assist in monitoring the implementation status of the team's work plan and budget utilization.
- Support the team's knowledge management activities, undertake activities/tasks and other requirements as assigned and reflected in the incumbent's workplan.
- Handle records management including logging and uploading in ORM's SharePoint site.
- Support assigned international staff on appropriate arrangements for meetings, travel, accommodation, and events. Prepare and submit complete and accurate documents relating to meetings, mission travels, and other events.
- Manage document requests, ensure proper dissemination, monitor actions required, and ensure timely submission.
- Respond to memos/correspondence/emails on behalf of supervisor and ensure that all final correspondence and documents are prepared in compliance with ADB's standards.
- Provides support related to ad hoc assignments and new initiatives as required.
- Carry out other administrative tasks as are reasonably assigned in consonance with the role.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned and reflected in the incumbent's workplan
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent analytical skills; attention to detail; strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain composure under pressure and manage priorities and workload with a general schedule of work, instructions, and standardized practices.
- Ability to foresee response and implication of own outputs, and to undertake tasks efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams as a constructive team member.
- Good computer skills with sound knowledge of common word-processing, spreadsheets, and graphics software used within ADB.
- Good understanding of multilateral development bank's purpose
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and exercise judgement on matters of confidentiality and those requiring urgent attention
