Job Description
Key Responsibilities of the Shopper Marketing Manager include:
• Channel Strategy Development: Create and implement tailored marketing strategies for key sales channels (e.g., traditional retail, e-commerce, modern trade, etc.). Ensure alignment with global and local brand strategies, focusing on channel growth and shopper engagement.
• Shopper Insights & Analytics: Conduct in-depth analysis of shopper behavior and market trends to develop actionable insights that drive marketing decisions and optimize the shopper journey. Leverage data to measure and refine the effectiveness of marketing programs.
• Integrated Marketing Campaigns: Lead the development of integrated channel and shopper marketing campaigns, working closely with creative, media, and digital teams to execute high-impact initiatives that resonate with target shoppers and drive conversion.
• Retailer & Distributor Collaboration: Partner with key retailers and distributors to co-develop and implement marketing plans that are aligned with both brand and retailer objectives. Support trade marketing efforts to maximize visibility and sales at the point of purchase.
• Trade Promotions: Design, implement, and track trade promotions aimed at driving incremental sales and improving product availability in stores. Work with the sales team to evaluate the success of promotions and make recommendations for improvement.
• Budget Management: Oversee the channel and shopper marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI on marketing initiatives.
• Brand Activation: Work with the marketing team to develop brand activation programs that engage shoppers and consumers at retail and online locations, ensuring strong brand presence and positive consumer perceptions.
• Performance Measurement & Reporting: Analyze the effectiveness of channel and shopper marketing activities and provide regular performance reports. Use insights to refine strategies, improve ROI, and inform decision-making.
• Collaboration with Sales Teams: Partner closely with the sales team to align on goals, track performance, and identify new opportunities to increase distribution and sales.
The Successful Applicant
Qualifications for the Shopper Marketing Manager:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in channel marketing, shopper marketing, trade marketing, or related fields, ideally within FMCG, retail, or consumer goods industries.
• Strong understanding of shopper behavior, channel dynamics, and marketing strategies that drive in-store and online purchases.
• Proven experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and working with retail and distributor partners.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to optimize marketing strategies and measure performance.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to execute complex marketing programs on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of digital marketing and e-commerce trends, with experience in driving online sales and digital shopper engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment in Metro Manila.
