Description
The Role
Working closely with the Health, Wealth and Career (HWC) marketing team and other business leaders, this role will be primarily responsible for the execution and coordination of digital communication activities globally. Using branded templates and tools like Marketo, CVENT, Hootsuite and Sitecore, the Digital Communications Specialist executes activities across the full digital spectrum including email, social media, web, SEO and video. The role will also include coordinating translations across multiple languages as needed by campaign and business requirements and monitoring the results. Analytical skills will be paramount including advanced proficiency in Excel and the ability to leverage other tools and software like SharePoint.
The role holder will be the glue for all marketing and digital communication activities across all regions globally and will therefore need to develop strong working relationships with the global Health, Wealth and Career (HWC) marketing team and other regional business leaders and subject matter experts, develop a good understanding of the business and maintain regular communication, analytics, and support. This role will also collaborate closely with the Health, Wealth and Career (HWC) Global Product Marketing Lead and other HWC global marketers to align activities, leverage content and develop cohesive and integrated marketing and client communication strategies that support lead generation.
Digital Communication Activities
• Coordinate digital communication activities in support of broad marketing and client communication campaigns globally and within regions. Ensure that productions meets promotional objectives. Adhere to all deadlines, best practices and guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with HCB global marketers and channel leaders to ensure requested activities and support align with campaign objectives and comply with all appropriate standards and brand guidelines.
• Maintain external event calendar and support promotional activities as needed in CVENT.
• Execute direct emails and automation campaigns in Marketo.
• Publish intellectual capital on wtwco.com, provide minor support for any externally facing LOB websites.
• Systematically produce institutional reports (performance by campaign, channel, organizations penetration, share and performance in appropriate online channels vs. objectives and competitors) complete with comments on progress. Prepare trends and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Research and analyze the marketplace to identify new digital communication opportunities. Compile and evaluate research, make recommendations.
Business Awareness
• Develop and maintain a good understanding of the full range of HWC products, services and solutions as well as the different markets and buyer hubs that exist.
• Research competitive environment for different LOBs and develop an understanding of how we can develop marketing strategies and plans to help differentiate our product offering.
• Identify linkages and opportunities across regions to streamline marketing and digital communication activities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
Excellence
• Ensure digital marketing activities boost and support the WTW brand.
• Support the overall operational governance and decision-making processes for HWC digital marketing campaigns.
• Demonstrate WTW’s values.
People
• Develop good working relationships and foster collaboration with colleagues from across the practice, within marketing and across the HWC segment to coordinate effectively and support the delivery of digital campaigns and activities.
Clients
• Act as the primary day-to-day point-of-contact for business stakeholders on digital communication activities across all regions.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with HWC marketing colleagues on digital communication activities and how those activities impact and connect to broader marketing campaigns.
• Support lead generation efforts including both digital marketing campaigns as well as digital communication activities with existing clients.
• Provide strategic digital communication advice, lead on planning and logistics discussions and take responsibility for the effective execution and delivery of agreed activities.
Financial
• Provide analysis of hard dollar spend on digital marketing campaigns where required.
• Inform the development of the HWC marketing budget to support campaigns.
• Manage costs to ensure planned expenditure is met including reporting and analysis of marketing effectiveness and impact.
Other
Any other duties commensurate with the role or level of responsibility.
Qualifications
The Requirements
Essential
• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in marketing or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in a similar role within a corporate environment for a multinational organization.
• Experience using digital marketing channels to raise awareness and create demand.
• Experience with a variety digital and web marketing tools like the following:
• -CVENT: Event marketing tool
• -Marketo: Email and marketing automation tool
• -Sitecore: Web marketing tool
• Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office suite, plus an ability to grasp new software quickly. In addition, should have a general understanding of website architecture and HTML, CSS code.
• Strong analytical and integrative skills including ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data in a logical, systematic way.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluent in spoken and written English. Additional languages a plus.
• Excellent eye for detail and able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
• Ability to engage, communicate and lead calls/meetings effectively with marketing leaders drawing on strong digital communication foundation and business acumen.
• Demonstrated ability to work with virtual teams.
Desirable
• Advanced project management and organizational skills. A completer/finisher mind-set with the drive to deliver multiple projects.
• Change and adaptability/ability to work through ambiguity.
Qualifications/Experience that would be advantageous for the position
• Familiarity with marketing automation or CRM tools (e.g. Marketo, Salesforce)
