Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Credit Officer who is fluent in Bisaya to join our team. This role requires the ability to assess and evaluate the creditworthiness of borrowers, while effectively communicating with clients who speak Bisaya. The Credit Officer will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring that all credit decisions are made in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan Processing: Review and analyze loan applications, including business records, and credit histories, to assess the creditworthiness of applicants.
  • Client Communication: Engage with Bisaya-speaking clients to explain credit policies, answer inquiries, and help them understand the terms of their loans. Communicate financial and credit decisions in a clear and professional manner.
  • Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation is accurately prepared and submitted for loan approval. This includes verifying and cross-checking all information provided by the client..
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on credit activities, loan performance, and risk assessments for management review.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to Bisaya-speaking clients, ensuring they are satisfied with the loan process and have all their questions addressed promptly.
Qualifications
  • Fluent in Bisaya: Must be able to communicate effectively in Bisaya (both spoken and written) to engage with local clients.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: At least [3] years of experience in credit analysis, lending, or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with financial analysis and credit policies.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills, both in Bisaya and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Customer-Oriented: Ability to build rapport and communicate clearly with clients, especially those in the Bisaya-speaking community.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in the bank or any other financial institution.
  • Familiarity with credit management software or other financial tools.
  • Knowledge of local financial regulations and compliance standards in the Philippines.
