Purpose of the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, reporting to a Development Manager, you will be responsible in supporting and maintaining the Hotel Content Management System. You will be involved in the day-to-day operations of our system, ongoing customization efforts, enhancements, outbound integrations, data exports and imports, reporting and analytics, and be a member of the on-call Support rotation.
Main Responsibilities
· Build and Support stand-alone Java applications, JBOSS and Tomcat hosted Web and REST API applications, and Unix Shell scripts solutions for integrating seamlessly with Oracle Fusion Cloud and Mongo-based applications, or for supporting ETL (extract/transform/load data) solutions.
· Work in a highly dynamic production and non-production Fusion Cloud Systems and Linux-based environment.
· Participate in Quarterly Oracle Upgrades, P2Ts and recurring Maintenance activities.
· Design, code, test, debug, and document all phases of applications software development.
· Serves as a team technical SME to assist troubleshooting technical and programming issues.
· Determine project feasibility and integration plans with current systems.
· Participate in code reviews written by others Software Engineers.
· Help in developing and improving operational efficiency of the system and team.
· Provide on-call support through a staff rotation.
