Job Title: Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)
Location: Hybrid (Taguig)
Employment Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain API's to service the systems across the entire platform.
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
• Work with other engineers in the company to build new features and products at scale.
• Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the company such as experts in product, design, infrastructure, and compliance.
• Must be a generalist, sometimes working on the frontend or backend—anything it takes to solve problems and delight users both internally and externally.
• Must uphold the best practices in engineering, security, quality, and design.
Qualifications:
• At least a year of experience with Ruby on Rails
• Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer
• Knowledgeable with React or must be willing to learn
• Building new APIs for our users, or iterating on existing APIs.
• Experience with test-driven development
• Proficiency in software engineering tools
• Ability to document requirements and specifications
• Amenable to work in BGC, Taguig on a Hybrid Set-up (3 days on-site once needed)
