The Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual to join our finance team as an Accounts Payable Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the overall efficiency of the accounts payable function.

This role also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of goods and services. The successful candidate will administer and deliver the full cycle of accounts payable duties.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Timely processing of global supplier invoices and ensure accurate data is entered into the system.
  • Ensure all invoices are matched to a valid purchase order / supplier contract.
  • Carry out regular supplier statement reconciliations, requesting supplier invoices if required.
  • Be proactive with communication and respond promptly to any supplier queries/disputes regarding payment.
  • Action all supplier queries / disputes received both by phone and email promptly. Liaise with relevant internal department/ person to ensure resolution.
  • New supplier bank detail verification.
  • Assist with other accounting tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Proven accounts payable experience working withing a busy/fast paced Finance team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Able to organise and prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent numeracy, written and verbal communication skills with an ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Desirable Requirements:

  • IT skills including Microsoft Excel – VLOOKUP’s / Pivot Tables.
  • Workday experience preferable but not essential.
