Job Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting:
o Prepare and analyze inventory reports for financial statements.
o Ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations.
o Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Inventory Management:
o Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts to ensure accuracy.
o Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
o Analyze inventory variances and discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to develop inventory budgets and
forecasts.
o Analyze historical inventory data to support forecasting models.
o Monitor actual inventory levels against forecasts and budgets and provide variance
analysis.
• Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes and controls.
o Implement best practices for inventory accounting and reporting.
o Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for inventory management within the
finance department.
• Data Analysis:
o Collect and analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
o Utilize data analysis tools to support decision-making and strategic planning.
o Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve inventory
efficiency and financial performance.
• Compliance and Controls:
o Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures related to inventory
management.
o Assist with internal and external audits related to inventory.
o Maintain accurate and complete inventory records in compliance with accounting
standards.
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in inventory analysis, accounting, or financial analysis.
• Experience with inventory management systems and financial software (Oracle) is a plus.
• Experience with Excess and Obsolete (E&O) Inventory Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
