Job Requirements:

Financial Records: Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable, receivable, and ledger entries.
Invoicing & Transactions: Process invoices, payments, and bank transactions, ensuring account reconciliation for accuracy.
Accounts Payable: Handle accounts payable by verifying invoices and ensuring timely payments.
Payroll Processing: Manage payroll processing, including tax filings and compliance with labor laws.
Financial Reporting & Audits: Prepare financial statements, analyze data, and assist with audits to ensure compliance.
Assist with the preparation of consolidated group results and statutory financial statements for group entities such as BAS/IAS, and year-end accounts preparation.
Assist with the coordination of year-end deliverables with external auditors to provide all necessary information for audit purposes. Presentation of financial results.
Software Proficiency: Utilize Excel and Xero software to manage bookkeeping tasks effectively.
BAS & IAS: Preparation and lodgement of BAS & IAS. Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations for Bank and GL Control Accounts.
Tax Compliance: Ensure tax compliance for group companies.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Cashflow Management: Manage cashflow to support business operations.
Process Improvement: Identify and assist in the implementation of ongoing process improvement opportunities.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee Accounts Payable/Receivable to maintain smooth financial operations.
Transition of Responsibilities: The hired candidate for the accountant role will initially perform bookkeeping responsibilities for a few weeks before transitioning to full accounting responsibilities.

Core responsibilities:

Bookkeeping Experience: 3+ years of proven bookkeeping experience with knowledge of accounting principles and software proficiency.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate data entry and record-keeping.
Task Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Payroll & Tax Knowledge: Knowledge of payroll processing, tax laws, and ethical handling of financial information.
Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills; certification is a plus. Software Proficiency: Excellent understanding of Xero software is essential.
Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for managing data and financial records.
Invoice & Billing Management: Experience in preparing invoices and managing billing for projects.
Supplier Management: Ability to get quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to support project needs.
Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with tea m me mbers and external parties.
English Proficiency: Fluent English speaking is required for effective communication in a professional setting.
Location Preference: Preferably candidates who live within Manila so the client can visit if necessary.
