We are seeking an IT specialist with strong technical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities to ensure smooth and secure IT operations.
Responsibilities:
- Proactive Device Management - Win & Mac, including Servers
- Protecting devices from malware, ransomware and other threats using on-device, DNS and cloud-based protection.
- Ongoing monitoring and maintaining of servers and running applications/services.
- Ongoing monitoring and maintaining hard drives and disk space.
- Ongoing monitoring and maintaining memory utilisation.
- Ongoing monitoring and maintaining network utilisation and bandwidth.
- Anti-virus monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Patch management to keep systems up-to-date and secure.
- Installing service pack updates.
- User Support
- Provide ongoing support to all users, including:
- Hardware and software troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Microsoft Office support for common user tasks.
- Full support and troubleshooting for all standard Windows and Mac OS systems and applications (Windows 10, Java, Adobe Reader Office etc.)
- Instructions and training of staff on best practices for using their systems and software.
- Helping with issues on how to best utilise devices and applications where applicable.
- Troubleshooting faults and providing high levels of user service.
- Support to be provided via remote session tools (such as TeamViewer or Remote Desktop), over the phone or via Teams video call.
- 3rd Party Application Support
- Work with software vendors to provide maintenance and Level 1 support for all 3rd party business-specific applications. This includes database applications, CRM applications, contact management, lead generation, booking and reservation systems, Webex web-based phones system, etc.
- Full Level 1 user support for our business applications. This covers the majority of day-to-day issues and questions. For more complex issues, escalate to the software vendor and manage the process on the user's behalf, or assist the end user in doing so if the support channel is deemed to be better addressed by the user.
- For new users and systems install, configure, and test these 3rd party applications.
- Ensure application databases are maintained correctly. For example, MS SQL and MySQL.
- Backup Management
- Manage backups to ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster. Regular testing to restore backups to confirm data integrity.
- Correctly configure your backups and make sure they meet the business' data retention policy.
- Check backups daily to ensure continuity.
- In the event of a major site disaster bring up a copy of systems at a separate location to keep business running.
- Report on current backup situation as required.
- Other Work as Required
- Project Work such as new systems or hardware outside the existing infrastructure.
- Compliance Work to assist the business to achieve compliance with any relevant industry or regulatory body or authority.
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable in establishing and maintaining internal and external network.
- A strong background in software and hardware troubleshooting is a must.
- Familiar with database applications, CRM applications, contact management, lead generation, booking and reservation systems, Webex web-based phones system, etc.
- Microsoft certifications are an advantage, but not mandatory.
- Able to communicate with internal and external partners.
- Must be willing to work on an Australian shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM MNL time).
- Must be willing to work onsite in our office at Eastwood, Quezon City.
