**Position: Documentation Analyst**
**Job Description:**
As a Documentation Analyst, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining comprehensive documentation related to the IT systems, goods, services, and technologies we provide to clients. This includes developing client-facing IT documentation to explain supported products and services, collaborating closely with IT teams and administrators to gather detailed information, and ensuring accuracy and accessibility of all documentation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Documentation of IT Systems:**
- Create user-friendly documentation for IT systems, covering hardware, software, networks, and databases.
- Develop system configurations, installation procedures, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
2. **Process Documentation:**
- Document IT processes like change management, i ncident management, and security protocols.
- Ensure process documentation is accurate, well-structured, and accessible to stakeholders.
3. **Updates and Revisions:**
- Regularly review and update documentation to reflect technological or procedural changes.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts for accuracy and completeness.
4. **Version Control:**
- Implement version control for tracking documentation changes and maintaining revision history.
5. **Knowledge Base Management:**
- Maintain a centralized knowledge base for IT-related information and ensure easy access.
6. **Documentation Standards:**
- Establish and enforce standards, templates, and guidelines for consistency in documentation.
7. **Collaboration:**
- Work with network and system administrators, project managers, and onsite techs to gather technical details for documentation.
8. **Continuous Improvement:**
- Identify areas for documentation improvement, recommend enhancements, and implement efficiency optimizations.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field, or 2-4 years of experience in IT documentation.
- Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat).
- Familiarity with Wiki-based systems and content management platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
**Experience:**
- 2-4 years in IT technical support and documentation.
- Experience in validating completed tickets and timesheets.
- Ability to create clear, detailed IT documents and diagrams.
- Skill in evaluating completed work, coaching, and providing feedback.
