This position prepares detailed financial schedules and analysis. This requires an understanding of the activities being performed with respect to accounting and finance theory.

  • May assist in the performance of budget versus actual analysis, identify variances, and document causes
  • Make proactive, positive contributions to the team
  • Clearly communicate financial results
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A, General Accounting, or any accounting-related work experience.
  • Preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of financial software and SAP is an advantage.

Other Job Requirements

  • Keep apprised of changes in governmental, professional, and internal reporting requirements, accounting principles and standards through analysis of published materials, attendance at professional meetings and seminars, and discussions with corporate-wide financial professionals

  • Demonstrated basic interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated dependability and reliability
  • Ability to deliver timely and accurate information
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other personal computer applications
  • Ability to learn and use Fluor’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and other information technology systems
