Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/.The Sales Lead for Innovative Medicine directly manages a team of Business Managers for the Innovative Medicine business unit and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. He/she develops tactical and operational plans for the sales team and supports organizational objectives and business goals. He/she directs operations for strategic initiatives and serves as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders as well as key external stakeholders including sub-distributors.General roles & responsibilities
- Manages a team of Business Managers (who manage Product Specialists) and is accountable for conducting effective performance management.
- Develops tactical and operational plans to achieve sales goals for the total Innovative Medicine business unit, and communicates plans to managers, supervisors, and individual contributors.
- In partnership with Marketing, develops and communicates the sales team’s strategy and goals, including each team member's KPI metrics and sales quotas.
- Owns the overall monthly sales forecasting process among the sales team by analyzing historical sales performance (sell-out and sell-in), driving the team to identify sales opportunities and accurately predict future sales.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.
- Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
- Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making. Upholds a strong culture of Compliance, Competitiveness, and the J&J Credo across the sales team.
- Serves as the point of contact for distributor/sub-distributors, as necessary, and develops a strong partnership through business reviews and operational alignment.
- University or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years pharmaceutical experience with proven track record. Pharmaceutical marketing and sales experience is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of the Philippine healthcare environment and systems.
- Possess good communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrates strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Excellent track record in past positions.
- Must be based in Metro Manila but willing to travel nationwide for business/field visits.
