* Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cybersecurity Specialist to join our remote team. This role involves implementing robust security solutions, monitoring systems, responding to i ncidents , and ensuring compliance with key frameworks. You’ll work closely with the Head of Delivery and a talented team to safeguard our clients’ businesses.
* Key Responsibilities
- Security Implementation & Maintenance: Implement and configure cybersecurity solutions, such as endpoint detection and response, firewalls, and network security measures.
- Monitoring & I ncident Response: Continuously monitor security systems, investigate alerts, and manage i ncident response, including mitigation and reporting.
- Risk Assessments: Help conduct comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments for clients, identifying vulnerabilities, risks, and actionable improvements.
- Framework Compliance: Ensure client compliance with frameworks such as the Essential 8, SMB1001, and ISO27001.
- Policy Development & Awareness: Assist in creating and updating cybersecurity policies, procedures, and user guidelines.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of security events and prepare client-facing reports on risk, compliance, and i ncident outcomes.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed about emerging threats, tools, and best practices to improve services and protect our clients.
* Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role.
- Experience working with frameworks such as the Essential 8, SMB1001, or ISO27001.
- Knowledge of i ncident response and implementing technical controls.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in network security, system hardening, and secure configurations.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as SIEMs, firewalls, EDR, and vulnerability scanners.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Knowledge of relevant compliance frameworks is highly regarded.
