We are looking for individuals who are passionate about data and take pride in providing top quality support to ensure the stability and reliability of our data ingestion pipelines.

As a Support Engineer, you will join the FMG CDH Data Delivery team. Our goal is to help the business we support unlock the full potential of their data. In this role, you will be providing front-line support to our data consumers by:

  • Using ITSM frameworks and tools (e.g., Helix, ITIL) for effective incident, change, and service management.
  • Enhancing system reliability through monitoring, alerting, and incident management processes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Monitoring prod jobs, troubleshooting issues, sending out communications and ensuring alignment to standard procedures.

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • 3-7 years of experience in ITSM, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in ITSM tools (e.g., Helix) and ITIL processes.
  • Experience in DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and incident management.
  • Proficiency in running and writing shell scripting languages for batch execution
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (able to communicate incident details to stakeholders clearly)
  • Experience in production support and application performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Familiarity with SQL and Linux Commands
  • Curiosity and attention to details
  • Ability to follow and adhere to documented processes (bonus points for the ability to set-up/design/put together and roll out operational processes)
  • Knowledge of Control-M is a bonus but not mandatory

Schedule: The role should align with Sydney business hours (8am to 5pm AEDT/AEST).
