About the role:
This role is fully remote, candidate is to be based in Manila, Philippines. The role reports to our Senior Financial Controller APAC.
The Impact you’ll make:
Credit Management (APAC)
- Perform timely credit analysis reviews on new and existing customers. Present high-risk customers to Leadership teams and protect the Company from a risk of default.
- Laise with internal and external stakeholders, like Sales, Order Management, Collections but also Credit Insurance agencies, Brokers to become part of a highly efficient team.
- Ensure Credit Management Data Accuracy, Internal Control Systems and Reporting are done timely and effectively
- Support efficient sales by resolving order blocks with various stakeholders within specific turnaround time
- Work in accordance with Global Credit Policy and keep the Local Credit Policies up-to-date. Ensure local teams are fully aware and understand the Global and Local Credit Policies.
- Respond to queries from District business partners on credit-related matters and provide support where needed
- Initiate the administrative process when a customer defaults on payment, coordinating with underwriters, brokers, and local stakeholders.
- Track the credit and collection history of existing customers. Analyse customers' payment performance and check for potential credit risks to mitigate potential payment defaults.
- Be hands-on and proactive to identify process inefficiencies and have them discussed by Local teams and/or Global teams.
Finance Executive (Philippines)
- Reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts related to VAT, Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT), and Creditable Withholding Tax (CWT).
- Maintain and archive the company’s BIR forms and other documentary requirements (e.g., Service Invoice, Official Receipt, Billing statement, GIS, Summary List of Sales, Form 2307).
- Liaise with the BIR, Local Government Units and other government agencies as needed.
- Work closely with the Accounts Payable Team to ensure accuracy in the recording of our commitments and payment to vendors and validate the computation of tax withheld, code use together with the issuance of BIR 2307 to vendors.
- Filing of payments for all tax related filings via EFAST / EAFS
- Point of contact for local bank to manage banking related matters
- Prepare monthly recharges for expenses paid on behalf for related companies
The Skills and Knowledge you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate credit analysis, especially in consumer goods industry.
- Experience in SAP S4 Hana Credit Management Module is preferred
- Familiarity with Philippines federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations will be a bonus.
- Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Confident in expressing and communicating a credit opinion, including a negative recommendation. Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, getting their buy-in on credit recommendations (including the case when it is a negative recommendation).
