The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Paralegal with a strong background in conveyancing to join our Sydney-based team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within Australian law firms.
As a key tea m me mber, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing contracts, and providing comprehensive support to our clients. The role requires exceptional organisational skills, the ability to independently manage tasks, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Fluency in both written and spoken English at a professional level is essential.
Key Responsibilities: Property Law Practice Development (PD)
Open and manage property files using the Practice Management System (PMS).
Proficient in Actionstep and PEXA platforms.
Demonstrated conveyancing experience in Queensland, Victoria, and New South Wales, Australia.
Review, draft, and negotiate contracts for property transactions.
Prepare and issue final correspondence, including settlement letters, initial documents, and closing materials.
Draft legal documentation for conveyancing transactions, including contracts, transfer documents, and statutory forms.
Prepare Duties Online forms and complete statements of adjustments.
Liaise effectively with stakeholders, including clients, real estate agents, banks, and local councils, to ensure seamless transaction progression.
Oversee the preparation and accuracy of contracts of sale, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Hold a degree in law, with 1–3 years of conveyancing experience in Australia.
Proven experience as a Paralegal, with a specialisation in conveyancing, ideally within an Australian law firm.
Strong understanding of Australian property law and conveyancing procedures
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work independently
Proficiency in legal practice management software
