JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for understanding and documenting the business and system requirements of clients. Plays a dual role of Business Analyst and Product Owner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Business Analyst

• Interacts extensively with system owners and users to understand business requirements.
• Analyzes business requirements vis-à-vis existing processes and systems.
• Prepares detailed functional/system specification documents for software applications.
• Proposes optimized design and solutions for new or existing systems with efficient and potentially reusable solution design of software flows and modules.
• Proposes alternative solutions that meet client requirements as well as ensure technical feasibility.
• Works closely with application developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
• Tests developed systems to ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Supports Dev and QA teams to review their artifacts to ensure the right requirement is being implemented.
• Facilitates user acceptance testing activities and ensures high satisfaction rating from clients.
• Analyzes incidents encountered in live operations and determines corresponding system enhancements required.

As a Product Owner

• Oversees and orchestrates the smooth progress of the project from start till UAT to customer.
• Proposes improvements in client processes to increase work efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensures all stakeholders have an adequate understanding of the requirements during walkthrough such that they can deliver their work output of high quality.
• Ensures there are no miscommunications or lack of information among the stakeholders.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports operations by analyzing and resolving problems encountered in live sites.
• Performs all other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
• Provides training to system trainers and users.
• Provide guidance and training to Jr. Business Analysts and supports other Business Analysts.

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate of a 4-year college course preferably in any of the following fields: IT, Computer Science and Computer Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst and leading a team
• Must have BA experience in web-based and/or desktop applications and basic working knowledge of API interfaces
• Knowledge of programming languages and database systems and SQL queries
• Should have written functional specification documents for software applications and supported to Go Live.
