About Us:

We have grown steadily through strategic acquisitions and serve a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, automotive, and aerospace. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to assist our CFO and bookkeepers with account reconciliation and financial report development and analyses.

Key Responsibilities:
• Reconcile P&L and Balance Sheet Accounts: Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts on a regular basis.
• Oversee Large Volume of AP and AR Transactions: Manage and ensure the accuracy of high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring efficient processing and compliance with internal controls.
• Distribution Accounting: Apply expertise in distribution accounting, ensuring proper financial management and accounting practices specific to inventory management and cost of goods sold.
• Depreciation and CapEx Entries: Manage depreciation schedules and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) entries, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly reports, variance analysis, and forecasting, using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain strong internal controls and processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Cleaning and Correcting Journal Entries: Analyze, clean, and correct journal entries in the General Ledger (GL) to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Financial Systems: Utilize accounting software to streamline financial operations and improve reporting accuracy.
• Project Oversight: Lead the financial aspects of the project, providing strategic insights and recommendations to ensure the successful completion of all financial objectives.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Chartered Accountant certification required.
• 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role, ideally with experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliation, AP and AR management, and journal entry correction.
• Expertise in depreciation and CapEx entries.
• Proven track record of working on projects with a high volume of transactions and complex financial requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
