Home-Based Knitwear Production Artist
Job Description
The DCX Home Based Knitwear Production Artist that will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. You will get a chance to learn new skills as well as demonstrate skills you've learned in the past. You will be responsible for closely following the instructions and processes outlined by our client.
The daily tasks will vary so it will be necessary to be very flexible in this position. Other necessary characteristics of the job include having a strong attention to detail, ability to work well with co-workers, and a desire to learn new work skills.
Ideal Candidates will be:
- Highly proficient communicator in both spoken and written English
- Have a love for graphic design
- A strong multitasker
- Highly organized
- Have a proven history of meeting project based deadlines
- Be willing to ask when guidance is needed
- Execute tasks and listen to guidance
- Very tech savvy
Programs that will be used:
- Google Suite
- Microsoft Suite
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
- Various web portals
Role Details
- Industry: Promotional
- Work Shift: 8am-5pm EST
- Workdays: Monday - Friday
- Written and spoken English skill: Very Proficient
- Salary Range: PHP 27,000
Daily Responsibilities
- Redrawing logos using Adobe Illustrator as needed
- Resizing, simplifying, and color adjustment of customer logos
- Finalize Artwork Confirmation (tech packs) for Pop! Promos knit products
- Track and maintain data tools
- Create pproduction-readyBMP files for tech packs
- Troubleshoot design issues and communicate with Philadelphia team on resolutions.
- Prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing
- Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production.
- Provide image retouching, clipping paths, and additional image manipulation as needed
- Create PDFs for print and client review
- Create/prepare new templates as needed
- Update software as needed
- Catalog and reference art for future projects
- Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time
- Interact with Sales and Client Experience Reps
- Perform other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned or needed
Additional Job Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design/production; OR a combination of practical experience in other related positions and significant course work in graphic design, print production, visual arts, or a related field (Note, a bachelor’s degree is not necessary, we are more concerned with relevant experience)
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of, and experience with, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other Creative Suite applications (Mac based)
- Have strong typographic and layout skills and strict attention to detail
- Are outstanding with file organization and archiving files
- Must stay up to date with new production techniques and trends through self-directed research and education
- Communicate clearly and articulately (written and verbal)
- Tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, and sequential approach and prepare for possible contingencies
- Easily build productive and collaborative relationships with coworkers and members of other internal teams such as sales and client experience teams which is very important for success in this role
- Can easily handle/manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Are a process-oriented self-starter who is motivated to insure expectations are met
