What We’re Looking For:
We are currently searching for a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in accounting practices, with a strong proficiency in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing tax filings, and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire accounting cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Conduct monthly and annual closing processes, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Administer accounts payable and receivable, ensuring efficient processing, payment of invoices, and collection of revenue.
- Prepare and file tax returns, both federal and state, and ensure compliance with all tax regulations and deadlines.
- Develop and monitor internal controls and policies to ensure financial data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial practices.
- Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing insights and analysis for strategic decision-making.
- Implement and optimize accounting software and systems to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to management, highlighting key trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Act as a financial advisor within the startup, offering guidance on financial best practices, expense management, and investment opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting for U.S. companies.
- Proficiency in financial accounting software, with a strong preference for experience in QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the U.S. and experience with financial statement preparation.
- Fully fluent in English.
- Ability to commit long-term and work full-time.
- Ability to work U.S. business hours (Pacific Time, Central Time, or Eastern Time).
