Accounting Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to manage a team effectively and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insightful commentary and recommendations to management.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing accurate and timely financial projections.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Implement and maintain an effective system of internal controls.
- Supervise the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Maintain strong relationships with external auditors.
- Stay current on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with accounting software [Specify software, e.g., QuickBooks, SAP].
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
