Rig Fab is seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to create, manage, and optimize cloud environments, with a focus on setting up architecture in AWS. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and managing multiple independent projects within AWS, setting up Development and Test instances, and collaborating with DevOps engineers to streamline infrastructure and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in both independent and team environments, using Kanban tools to track tasks efficiently and delivering results in a fast-paced setting. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for renewal based on performance.



Key Responsibilities:

AWS Architecture Setup & Multi-Project Planning:
- Design, set up, and optimize cloud architecture in AWS for multiple independent projects, ensuring each project operates securely and efficiently.
- Plan for the infrastructure needs of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring appropriate resource allocation across environments.
- Create separate Development and Test instances, managing isolated resources for multi-project environments.

AWS Services Deployment & Monitoring:
- Deploy and manage AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, API Gateway, Route 53, ELB, CloudFront, and DynamoDB.
- Implement performance monitoring using CloudWatch and CloudTrail to ensure optimal operations across projects.
- Maintain compliance and security with AWS Config, Security Hub, WAF, and Secrets Manager.

CI/CD Integration with DevOps Teams:
- Work closely with DevOps engineers to set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
- Automate deployments across projects using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Azure & AWS Integration:
- Manage Azure IAM accounts and integrate with AWS IAM to facilitate access control across cloud platforms.
- Ensure seamless cross-platform workflows between Azure and AWS for project-specific needs.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting:
- Optimize infrastructure using Auto Scaling and ensure seamless operations with Elastic Load Balancing (ELB).
- Use debugging tools to resolve infrastructure issues and performance bottlenecks in real-time.

Task Tracking & Delivery:
- Use Kanban tools (e.g., ClickUp, Jira) to track tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Deliver high-quality results independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams for larger initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of system architectures, configurations, and infrastructure processes for each project.
- Provide regular status reports on project performance, resource usage, and optimization efforts.



Qualifications:

Extensive experience in AWS architecture design and managing cloud services, including:
- EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, API Gateway, Auto Scaling, ELB, ACM, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, DynamoDB, Security Hub, WAF, Config, Backup, Secrets Manager, Systems Manager.
- Experience planning and managing multiple projects in AWS, with the ability to isolate resources and maintain efficient project separation.
- Proficiency with Azure IAM and AWS IAM integration for cross-platform workflows.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and hands-on experience with DevOps tools for pipeline management.
- Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for automated infrastructure provisioning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and performance issues efficiently.
- Ability to work both independently and in team settings, using Kanban boards to track tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- AWS Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS DevOps Engineer) are required.


Preferred Skills:

- Experience working with microservices architecture and containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Familiarity with logging and observability tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Grafana) for centralized monitoring.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and VPN configurations for secure networking.
