Primary Functions:

o The Project Engineer ensures timely completion of assigned construction projects, which include housing, open space development, or land development, in adherence to approved deadlines, project plans, specifications. This involves overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders to maintain alignment with Business Unit approved project goals and objectives.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

Site Management:

o Supervise and manage day to day activities on construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards and project specifications

o Organize and implement the approved plans and schedule in coordination with the different contractors, designers, etc.

o Monitor site progress and productivity, identifying and addressing any issues or delays that may arise

o Adhere to construction methodologies for the project

o Conduct assessment and inspection of works, prepares recommendation for payment and certification of contractors’ billings

Construction Coordination:

o Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution

o Coordinate with pertinent government agencies and utility companies with regards to clearances, permits, licenses, turn over, etc.

o Assist the house turn over team in inspection and punch listing for unit acceptance as well as the construction of houses in the initial stages of move-in

Quality Control:

o Conduct regular inspection to assess work quality and compliance with project requirements

o Implement quality control measures to identify and rectify defects or deficiencies in construction work

o Ensure that all materials used on-site meet quality standards and specifications

Documentation and Reporting:

o Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily progress reports, site diaries, material logs and inspection records

o Prepare, submit and present weekly reports on site progress, productivity, and compliance with project requirements

o Prepares and endorse RFA/RFI forms for approval

o Document any changes, deviations, or issues encountered during construction and communicate them accordingly

Safety and Risk Management:

o Observe safety protocols and regulations on-site, implementing measures to minimize risks and hazards

o Conduct safety inspection and audits to identify potential safety hazard and implement corrective actions

o Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance among construction teams and subcontractors

o Identify opportunities for risk mitigation or process enhancements that will lead to the continuous improvement of construction operations

Technical Support:

o Assist other departments on all project and construction related concerns

Job Specifications:

o Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree on Architecture, Civil Engineering, and any other related course

o PRC License as Civil Engineer or Architect

o With one to three (1-3) years working experience as Project Engineer in a reputable horizontal housing development company

o High analytical and problem-solving aptitude

o Detail oriented with good time management skills

o Good written and verbal communication skills

o Basic knowledge of National Building Code

o Full understanding of housing project management cycle, Philippine setting

o Willing to be relocated
